The refurbishment of an existing 12 multi-bed hospital ward to a facility for adult CF patients consisting of 8 single en-suite bedrooms with suitable support services. Built in 1970, the ward required an extensive overhaul. Due to a public outcry and government pressure a tight time schedule was implemented.
I was given responsibility as project architect to draw-up and manage the project from inception to completion. from sketching layouts, participating in client and design team meetings sourcing material finishes and products, drawing up fire safety and construction drawings & packages, involvement in site team meetings and inspections while onsite. After PC, I was involved in snagging, administration, inspecting site during defects period and finally administering Final cert.
